Tables |
A lovely New Brunswick Pembroke Table in mahogany with pine as a secondary wood. The top features very high quality mahogany atop a single drawer with false front to the other side, both of which feature turned handles. The legs feature a handsome reeded leg with ebonized turnings typical of New Brunswick tables of this period. Circa 1830. Very good overall condition.
This table bears great resemblance to plates 186, 187, and 188 in English Canadian Furniture of the Georgian Period by Donald Blake Webster, McGraw-Hill Ryerson Ltx., 1979. Two of these tables have been attributed to Nesbitt.
Measurements: 32.5" in length, 21"/39" in width, and 27.5" in height.
